Lagos SWAN mourns ex-treasurer, Esther Oleru - ITREALMS

ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter has expressed shock at the demise of the former treasurer, Ms. Esther Oleru, reports
ITREALMS.
Lagos SWAN Chairman, Debo Oshundun, who spoke glowingly about the deceased, said her death was a huge loss to Lagos SWAN and journalism in general.
His words; “this news is sad and a bitter pill to swallow for all of us. Esther was a sister to everyone and a committed member at that.

“The association entrusted her purse with her for a period of six years and she ensured accountability throughout her stay in office.

“Esther was so diligent to the association's cause and never looked back in any task given to her.

“Esther had a good heart, a lover of peace and was a professional to the core.

“We are certainly going to miss her now that she had returned to her maker.

“At this point, our prayers and thoughts are with the Oleru family at this very difficult time.

“Our prayers are for the repose of her gentle soul and with those she left behind.

“Adieu dearest sister Esther Oleru.”

Until her demise, Ms Oleru was a sports producer and presenter at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

She died after six years from a protracted illness.

Oleru served for two terms as Lagos SWAN treasurer before handing the baton to Ms.Monica Iheakam of the Sun newspapers.
