The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD) has called for application into its leadership programme, reports ITREALMS.
He noted that some scholars have pointed out that everything rises and falls on leadership.
"Despite this recognition, there is a scarcity of leaders and leadership all over the world, especially in Africa and Nigeria, in particular," he said.
Osasah also quoted Myles Munroe as saying, “The world is filled with followers, supervisors and Managers but very few leaders.” Stressing that the good news is that it is possible to train leaders.
As said by him, for the past eleven years, The Centre LSD Leadership School has been at the forefront of training Nigerians to become strategic leaders who will be able to envision the future and help to map out strategies on how to get there. The school focuses on both leader development (expanding the capacity of individuals for effective leadership roles and processes) and leadership development (expansion of organizations’ capacity to enact basic leadership tasks including setting direction, creating alignment, and maintaining commitment).
The Leadership Champion Award is therefore designed to recognize past and present graduands of Centre LSD Leadership School who have utilized the knowledge, skills and network gained from the school to advance their career, proffer solutions to tough challenges, and helped in the development of other leaders.
For this year’s championship award, he said, past students at the school, including the 2 sets graduating in August and September 2021 are strongly encouraged to nominate or apply for the award in two categories including career advancement and development of other leaders.
