NCC seeks comments on subscribers regulations guidelines, plans virtual meeting - ITREALMS

The Nigerian Communications Commission in exercise of its functions under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 has published some guidelines regarding subscribers regulations, reports ITREALMS.
Director, Public Affairs at NCC, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde in a public statement available to ITREALMS, said that public inquiries on the draft Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations, SIM Replacement Guidelines and the Spectrum Trading Guidelines.

NCC advised that stakeholders comments are expected via its website www.ncc.gov.ng.

This, NCC said is in accordance with Section 57 of the Act, Public Inquiries in respect of the above mentioned draft regulatory instruments have been scheduled to hold virtually at 11.00am on the dates stated that Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulation has been slated for Tuesday,  October 5, 2021.
In addition, SIM Replacement Guidelines public inquiry has been slated for Tuesday,  October 5, 2021; and Spectrum Trading Guidelines Tuesday,  October 5, 2021.

"Interested stakeholders are by this notice invited to make written submissions on the subject and participate in the Public Inquiries," he said.

Further, he said, details of the virtual meeting will be forwarded to interested attendees prior to the Public Inquiries.

"All submissions must reach the Commission on or before Friday, September 24, 2021 and should be addressed to "The Executive Vice Chairman, NCC Headquarters, Maitama Abuja" while attention Director, Legal and Regulatory Services.
