The new elected governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy Dr Onyekachi Ibezim has both received their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), reports ITREALMS.

ITREALMS recalls that Prof. Soludo had defeated 17 other candidates to emerge winner of the Saturday, November 6 and 9 governorship elections in the state, with 112,229 votes.
They were handed the certificates of return on Friday at the INEC office in Awka, Anambra State capital.
Prof. Soludo is expected to take over mantle of leadership in Anambra by March 2022 from the incumbent Governor, Chief Willie Obiano.
He won 19 out of the 21 local government areas in the state, including Ihiala LGA where supplementary election was held on November 9 following INEC’s inability to send its staff members there on the main election day and was pronounced winner by the INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Florence Obi.
