The duo of Nigerians, Ms Arinola Akinyemi and Mr Peter Taiwo Akinremi has been selected to lead the Generic Name Supporting Organisation (GNSO) Standing Selection Committee (SSC) for the 2021-2022, reports ITREALMS.
Their emergence follows the December 16th GNSO Council meeting, in which the Council voted, as part of the Consent Agenda, to confirm the leadership team of the GNSO Standing Selection Committee (SSC) for the 2021-2022 cycle.
ITREALMS gathered that the SSC has been tasked, as requested by the GNSO Council, to among other things to prepare and issue calls for applications related to the selection or nomination of candidates for ICANN structures such as ICANN review teams as well as structures related to the empowered community.
