Nigerian Adebiyi Oladipo has joined the leadership team of the country code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) council at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) reports ITREALMS.

The latest leadership team emerged after the council meeting of Thursday, March 10, 2022 as part of the ongoing ICANN73 virtual forum.
The newly elected team, ITREALMS gathered include the Alejandra Reynoso (.gt) who was re-elected as Chair of the ccNSO Council and Jordan Carter (.nz) equally re-elected as Vice-Chair, just as Mr. Adebiyi Oladipo (.ng) joined the leadership team as Vice-Chair.
Also, ITREALMS gathered that Messrs Alejandra, Jordan and Biyi were elected for a one-year term starting at the end of ICANN73 and ending at the end of ICANN76.
Joke Braeken in a press statement available to ITREALMS wished the newly elected council leadership well while thanking Pablo Rodriguez for his service as Vice Chair.
The Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) is a body within the ICANN structure created for and by ccTLD managers.
Since its creation in 2003, the ccNSO has provided a forum for country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) managers to meet and discuss topical issues of concern to ccTLDs from a global perspective.
The ccNSO provides a platform to nurture consensus, technical cooperation and skill building among ccTLDs and facilitates the development of voluntary best practices for ccTLD managers.
Equally, ITREALMS gathered that Mr. Oladipo who is the Financial Secretary of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) was recently appointed by the Country Code Name Support Organization (ccNSO) of ICANN as one of its Liaisons to the Generic Top Level Domain Name Support Organization (GNSO) since May 2018.
