The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), constructed some 32 Emergency Communication Centres (EECs) in various states since 2005, reports ITREALMS.
The 32 EECs, he also said have been activated and are operational.
The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta made this known at the weekend to ITREALMS after a retreat by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy in Abuja.
He also disclosed that NCC raised $563.1m for FG through 3.5GHz auction and some 80 million Nigerians have broadband access.
He commended NCC team for proactively implementing National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) 2020-2030 in the context of the vision of Federal Government and the supervision of the Ministry.
