Royal Fathers to AASDU Reps: Be good ambassadors - ITREALMS

The Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council has charged town unions' representatives in the Association of Anambra State Development Unions (AASDU Lagos), to ensure cordial and peaceful relationships among themselves, and with their host - Lagos State.

They further asked AASDU to support government in the epic battle to rid the state of all forms of criminality.

This was contained in a special message delivered Sunday, July 10 2022 by a royal delegation led by His Highness, Godwin Ezeilo, Igwe Ezekunie Obu Nanka and chairman, Anambra South Traditional Rulers Forum at AASDU Lagos general meeting.

The Royal Fathers expressed satisfaction with AASDU Lagos performance as the umbrella body of all town unions, trade and professional organisations of Anambra extraction here in Lagos.

They urged the leadership of AASDU under Chief Sir Amechi Ebeledike, Ikedinigwe Anaocha to ensure more peaceful coordination of the welfare and civic responsibilities of ndi Anambra Lagos in times ahead.

Other royal fathers in the entourage were His Royal Majesty, Emeka Nnamdi Okezie, frpa, Igwe Eze Okaije Okija; HRH, Eze Idegwu 111 of Achina; HRH, Gerald Obunadike Mbamalu, Igwe Eze Oranyelu 1, Eze Ojoto 111.

Also present at the meeting were veteran nollywood actor and Special Adviser to Anambra Governor on Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism, Sir Bob-manuel Udokwu, and Anambra State Lagos Acting Liaison Officer, Mrs Ngozi Okpara with Mrs Hope Okakpu.

They brought the good will of AASDU Grand Patron and Governor of Anambra State, H.E. Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Sir Bob-manuel Udokwu gave a brief report of Governor Soludo's efforts so far in keeping faith with his electoral promises.

He informed AASDU that government, under entertainment, leisure, and tourism, is packaging talent hunt competitions on comedy, Igbo highlife music etc, as well as promoting tourism sites in the state.

The competitions he said are scheduled to hold at the famous Agulu Lake resort.


The acting Liaison officer, Mrs Ngozi Okpala reminded ndi Anambra Lagos of our ancient philosophy of aku rue uno.


She gave AASDU members tips on how to contribute to the economy of their home state even from here in Lagos.

Responding, AASDU Lagos President, Chief Sir Amechi Ebeledike, Ikedinigwe Anaocha appreciated the guests for their time, fraternal and royal visits.


He assured them that AASDU is already acting in the direction of their advice.


He used the opportunity to invite the guests to AASDU Lagos cultural and symposium activities scheduled for November this year.
