The First Bank Nigeria Plc has alerted Nigerian customers that their Naira Mastercard would no longer be used to access dollarised account, effective September 30, reports ITREALMS.
Information available to ITREALMS indicated that due to current market realities on foreign exchange, was why the bank is discontinuing the services of its other cards.
"You will no longer be able to use the Naira Mastercard, Naira Credit Card, our Virtual card and Visa Prepaid Naira card for international transactions. This will take effect on 30 September 2022," public statement available to ITREALMS read.
In furtherance, it says "Please use your Visa Debit Multicurrency Card, Visa Prepaid (USD) Card and Visa Gold Credit Card to continue transacting abroad with limits of up to $10,000."
The bank also cautioned those who may not have any fof the access card.
"Don’t have any of these cards? Simply visit the nearest branch or our website to request for one," the bank said.
