Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has called on stakeholders in the domestic Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) value chain to invest in the supply of the product to ensure a reliable and steady stream of supply to the market, reports ITREALMS.

Marking 15 years of domestic LPG supply in conjunction with the Nigerian LPG Association (NLPGA) at a conference in Lagos, NLNG’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Philip Mshelbila, said the investment in supply would intentionally spark commitment along the value chain, including vertical integrations. He stated that NLNG was doing this through its further investment in Train 7, which will add about 35% to its current capacity when completed, subject to gas supply and gas quality. He added that other domestic producers of LPG would need to make investments to enable their product to become available to the domestic market, rather than exporting it. The product is also designed for SMEs as well as traders in all sectors of the economy with verifiable cash flow as they will be at an advantage in sustaining the distribution of goods from one location to another. To be eligible for the service, the customer must have been in business for at least 12 months and should have maintained a healthy and active bank account with either FirstBank for a minimum of 6 months or 12 months with other banks.



Petroleum Dealership Finance (PDF) is created to offer working capital finance to filling stations with a DPR licence for the purchase of kerosene (DPK), petrol (PMS), and diesel (AGO). This product facilitates access to financing opportunities to purchase products at competitive rates. A 12months facility tenor with a cash flow lending option up to N20M is also available. Professor Isa Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has disclosed that Nigeria is giving the final touches to its proposed National Dig Once Policy, hinting that there is a plan to unveil the policy before the end of 2022.

Pantami made the disclosure in Lagos at the just concluded fourth edition of Policy Implementation Assisted Forum (PIAFo) on Dig Once Policy and Fibre Strategy in Nigeria with the theme: Laying the Foundation for Ubiquitous Broadband for Nigeria’s Economic Breakthrough.

Irona: PDP disowns fake suspension letter - ITREALMS

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oguta Ward A, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State says the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State, Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona is the Pillar of the party in the Ward.

Chairman of the PDP in Oguta Ward A, Chukwuma Okoroafor, disclosed this in a Press Statement made available to newsmen in Owerri, Monday afternoon.


Okoroafor, who frowned at rumours of purported suspension of the former Deputy Governor said the names on the purported letter of suspension are not members of the Party in the Ward and therefore not known to the party.


Still speaking on the purported letter alleging that the former Deputy Governor was suspended by his Ward (Oguta Ward A), Okoroafor described the letter as fake, adding that those whose names appeared on the said letter were neither members nor known to the PDP in the Ward.


He warned that the party would deal decisively with anyone caught, wanting to bring the name of the former Deputy Governor to disrepute.


“Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona is our Pillar in Oguta Ward A. He is our Hero. We have no problems whatsoever with him. There is no pending issue whatsoever, not to talk of suspending our leading light. Those behind the fake letter are not members of the PDP. They are not known to the Party. They are being sponsored to embarrass our leader. We shall deal ruthlessly with anyone trying to bring our leader to ridicule. We do not joke with him. We call on Law Enforcement Agencies to investigate and arrest for prosecution, the source, author, and circulation of the purported letter of suspension of our cherished leader.”


Okoroafor also poured encomiums to the former Deputy Governor for what he described as his inspirational leadership and exceptional support to the party, reiterating their loyalty to the former Deputy Governor.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has discovered, through social listening and environmental surveillance that a fraudulent letter, titled: “Certificate of Site Ownership”, for clearance of “Mast Transmission Antenna”, are being circulated by some unidentifiable individuals, and purporting that the letter was issued by the NCC.

The fraudulent letter claimed that the Commission had conducted an inspection on a certain site which is for “9-Mobile Telecommunications Company G.P.R.S”.
