Digital Talent Foundation, US Consulate skill 100 youths on STEM - ITREALMS

Digital Talent Foundation (DTF) has commenced the training of over 100 youths in Lagos, as part of the United States government-funded five-week programme on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), reports ITREALMS.

Speaking to ITREALMS at the opening ceremony at the Ikeja American Corner, Courier Plus Compound, Airport Road, Ikeja, the founder of Digital Talent Foundation, Mr. Tosin Ojo, said expected to provide 225 youths in Lagos and Osun States with digital skills on website development, computer hardware, engineering, and cinematography.


The project known as the STEM for the future project, he said, is being implemented by the Digital Talent Foundation.

According to Ojo, there will be prizes for top class participants in website development, computer hardware, and cinematography including laptops among others.

“Yes, it has been done in Osun State and it was a success,” he said.

Ojo also listed some of the criteria for admitting participants to include their age bracket which must between 16 and 24 years, just as there is need to show evidence of being underserved but must have passion, commitment and ability to complete the 5-week training.

ITREALMS further gathered that participants will also be provided hands-on high-end technology, education and mentorships that would enable them to advance their career goals and contribute to Nigeria’s prosperity.

Digital Talent Foundation, founded by Tosin Ojo since 2020, has successfully and proudly trained over 1,000 youth in Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM skills between Lagos and Osun States.
