Sammie Okposo: What family said, confirms death - ITREALMS

Finally, the family of gospel maestro, Sammie Okposo has confirmed his passage to the world beyond, reports ITREALMS.

Sammie or well-well master as he was fondly called, died in the early hours of Friday, November 25, 2022.

Aged, 51, Sammie, the family said in a poster by Hector Okposo, confirmed his death occurred at the early hours of Friday.

Hector, ITREALMS gathered, was silent on the cause of Sammie sudden death.

He also promised to dish out more information in the coming days.

According to the poster, Hector said that it was with a heavy heart but total submission to God that he announced the passing of "our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, Minister of God, Sammie Okposo."

He went on to state that "Sammie slept and ent to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022.

"More details about the burial will be communicated soon."

ITREALMS gathered that late Sammie Okposo was born on 30 May 1971. Reputed as an international Nigerian gospel artist, Sammie was also a music producer, psalmist, and CEO of Zamar Entertainment.

Late Sammie released his first album 'Addicted' in 2004 and has collaborated with many other artists in the gospel and soul music fields, including popular gospel singer Marvellous Odiete on "Follow You" performed regularly in Africa, Europe, and North America.

Sammie curated a series of concerts called SOPP (Sammie Okposo Praise Party) with his most recent album, The Statement (2018), was produced by the Grammy-winning Kevin Bond.
