Over seven female passengers have been confirmed dead during a fire breakout in their public transport vehicle, few metres before Odogbolui Junction along Shagamu/ Benin express inbound Ijebu Ode, reports ITREALMS.
According to an eyewitness, the engine is overflowting which left seven females injured and another seven burnt dead beyond recognition.
The accident occurred about 2.50pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
The Commander of FRSC in Ijeobu Ode, Mr. Osibanjo F, confirmed the incident, stressing that traffic was affected but for the timely intervention of TRACE and FRSC, it is moving gradually.
"... While the injured rescued have been taken to the General Hospital Ijebu Ode," he said.
