The Orisumbare Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State would soon recieve some face-lift, reports ITREALMS.
This followed the outcome of Lagos State Advocacy Team (SAT) visit to the Deputy Medical Officer of Health in the LGA, Dr. Seriki Muhideen Olalekan, recently.
Responding to some issues on Orisumbare PHC, including leaking roofs, faulty electricity generating set for the power supply, Dr. Olalekan pointed out that adequate provision is in place for uninterrupted power supply at the centre but attributed the high cost of diesel to inability of the center to run the generator for a long period of time.
She stressed that the leaking roofs is one of the issues the government identified at inception five months ago and intends to address in time before rain sets in.
The State Advocacy Team delegation to Orisumbare PHC was led by the State Coordinator, Association of Civil Societies on Malaria, Immunisation and Nutrition (ACOMIN), Mrs. Bunmi Tejumola and included POPWHEI Executive Director, Monica Obi, TB coordinator, Mrs Ifelunwa Aipoh, Mr Patrick Akpan of NEPWAN and ATM Project Officer, Ms Tope James, among others.
Meanwhile the team also visited Ikotun Local Council Development Authority (LCDA) also in Alimosho Local Government.
