Few hours after the announcement of the Ekiti State presidential election results in favour of the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), some Nigerians are wondering how an unclassified screenshot from a portal reportedly uploaded the same results five days before the elections, reports ITREALMS.
Announcing the Ekiti, INEC presided over by the National Returning Officer and chairman of the INEC, Prof. Mamood Yakubu stated that APC got 201,486, PDP 89,554 and LP 11,397.
According to INEC, APC scored 66 per cent of the total vote cast, while PDP scored 29 per cent and LP three per cent.
But according to a graph going viral online, voting may have concluded some five days before the general elections in Ekiti State.
This, ITREALMS gathered, followed the discovery of some datasets of the Ekiti presidential election results as announced on Sunday, February 26, 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which showed it was actually uploaded on February 20, 2023 by 2:11am.
Information reaching ITREALMS showed that all the figures as announced by INEC on Sunday, February 26, 2023 reflected accurately in the results going viral online with a post updated showed 2:11am, GMT, February, 20, even with registered voters amounting to 987,647.
INEC has since denied the 'unclassified Ekiti result' saying it does not emanate from them as their INEC Result Viewing Portal was not constructed in this same format.
Meanwhile, Ekiti State became the first to officially submit the Presidential Election result to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu at the National Collation Centre, Abuja.
There was no objection from all party agents present as the viral screenshot of the results posted five days earlier.

Some Nigerians who reacted wondered what went wrong with INEC with all its promises.
A tweep known as @Cruiseboy, "Imagine Ekiti Election results were uploaded on 20th February. No wonder Eniola Badmus has the guts to sell Asoebi."
