ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!
Once again, the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has been projected in a latest survey to win in some 17 states of the federation in the forthcoming Saturday's election, reports ITREALMS.According to the Enough-is-Enough (EiE) Nigeria's commissioned SBM Intelligence, Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) were projected to win in 11 and 9 states respectively.
Whereas the ability to garner 25 per cent votes as mandated in the constitution, the study rated Atiku Abubakar attaining this in 27 states, Tinubu in 20 states while Obi in 25 states.
In addition, EiE-SBM Election forecast suggested that the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could garner enough votes across at least 24 states of the federation to emerge as president over a sufficient number of states across four of the country’s six geopolitical zones to meet the constitutional requirement of scoring 25% in at least 24 states.
ITREALMS recalls that EiE Nigeria, as a leading civil society organisation believes in the importance of promoting democracy, free, fair and credible elections that are at its foundation, which was why it commissioned SBM Intelligence to do a nationwide survey of likely voters on salient issues regarding the 2023 elections, featuring 11,534 respondents with 78 per cent engaged face-to-face and 22 per cent via telephone.
