The Labour Party Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi has refuted reports that his phone was stolen at the court on Tuesday in Abuja, reports ITREALMS.
A viral video was on social media where Obi was obviously searching for his phone left on a desk before stepping out to exchange pleasantries, but could not locate it at the same position on return.
However, in a public statement made available to ITREALMS by his media aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem, said that the news of the loss of Mr. Peter Obi’s phone went viral.
The spontaneous outpouring of solidarity, he said, was yet again a demonstration of the love of the people for him.
Obienyem then declared that it was not a case of stolen phone.
"May I happily inform you that it was not a case of theft. He left the phones on his table to exchange pleasantries with some people in court, whereupon, for safety sake, one of his aides picked the phones," he said, just as they appreciated concerns of well-meaning Nigerians.
