The Lagos State Advocacy Team has solicited for more government intervention in the primary health care facility to ease people's welfare, reports ITREALMS.The State Coordinator on Tuberculosis Network, Mrs Ifelunwa Aipoh made this call during the advocacy visits to Supervisory councillor of health in Alimosho LGA, Honourable Abolade AbdulRasheed.
According to her, some of the issues identified at Ipinlerere Primary Health Centre include leaking roof at the facility, need for ceiling fans at the upper deck of the PHC and a request for a refrigerator at the vaccination room.
Reacting, the supervisory councillor of Health, Alimosho LGA, Honourable Abolade AbdulRasheed said the leaking roof will be escalated to the local government engineer who will check the extent and get an approval for total repair soon.
Concerning the ceilings-fan, he said, adequate provision will be made to fix it for proper usage.
Honourable Abolade also promised to look into the need for refrigerator at Ipinlerere vaccination room as most drugs are disbursed from Akowonjo storage facility.
Equally speaking, the SAT team led, Mrs Bunmi Tejumola appreciated the council for resolving some issues, and implored for quick response to outstanding issues.
