Things Fall Apart: Facts about Igbo translation by Chuks Iloegbunam - ITREALMS
The story that Things Fall Apart, Chinua Achebe’s 1958 masterpiece of a novel, has been translated into all the world's languages, but Igbo, the language of its author, is fanciful.

It has continued to trend with near uncontrollable force because such is the primary characteristic of anything bordering on self-immolation. But it has got to stop forthwith.

Things Fall Apart was translated into the Igbo language in 2008 by Izuu Nwankwo E. It was published by Valid Publishing Company, Awka, Anambra State. Its ISBN is 978-38304-9-X.

The Preface was written by Professor Pita Ejiofor, a key promoter of the Igbo language, and former Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

The image of the book's cover is here presented to sound the death knell of the fallacy.
