President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) has approved the appointment of some new and returning Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, reports ITREALMS.
He also confirmed that the new Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSAT), is Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, who was a former Head of Sales, Middle East and Africa at Meta, formerly Facebook.
ITREALMS also gathered from Ajuri that Mr. Sunday Adepoju was replaced by Tola Odeyemi as the Postmaster General/CEO, Nigerian Postal Service.
While the duo of the Director General/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency, Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, was reappointed as well as the National Commissioner/CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Dr. Vincent Olatunji, for a second term in office respectively.
Ngelale added in the statement: “Furthermore, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s determination to maximally leverage on Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy toward greater financial inclusion, the President has approved the appointment of a new Special Adviser to the President.
“Special Adviser to the President on Technology and Digital Economy is Idris Alubankudi.
“By this directive of the President, the above-mentioned appointments take immediate effect,” Ngelale said.
ITREALMS further gathered that Aminu Maida was until his latest appointment as EVC/CEO of NCC, the Executive Director, Technology & Operations at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS).
