The 1983 set of Anglican Grammar School Iju-Itaogbolu has elected new executive with Mr. Segun Adeleye as president, reports ITREALMS.
Their election was a major week-long event culminating in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the group and in commemoration of its 40th anniversary which took place between Thursday, 16th November to Saturday, 18th November 2023 at Solton Hotel, Ijapo, Akure.
The transition was marked by the administration of the oath-of-office, sealing their commitment to serve with diligence and uphold the values of the association.
The newly elected president, Mr. Segun Adeleye, took the stage to articulate his vision, emphasizing the continuation of the legacy left by the outgoing executives. He called for the cooperative efforts of the new executives and all members, especially those abroad, urging them to double-up in contributing actively and monetarily to the achievement of shared goals.
A press statement available to ITREALMS, the secretary, 'Yemisi O. Olokose, revealed that following the significant moment, a dinner party was held and presided over by the distinguished Mr. Gbenga Olaniyi, who also recommended and pledged to rally his set to join forces in building a new, well-equipped library for the school.
ITREALMS recalled that Mr. Adeleye is the president and chief executive officer, WorldStage Limited, the publisher of WorldStage Newsonline and TrueColour Magazine, the organiser of the annual WorldStage Economic Summit (WSES).
Segun, a member of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) also prides himself as a strong multi-talented professional in science and art with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biochemistry from Federal University of Technology Akure; a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba; Professional Certificate in Producing & Production Management from Pefti Film Institute, Lagos; Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa where he attended an Executive Training.
Also, Adeleye is skilled in Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategy, Script Writing, Movie Production, Music Writing, Music Production, Event Planning/Manager.
