Emir applauds Lagos Motor Show, tasks Nigerians on collaboration - ITREALMS

A collaboration between the government and the good people is the panacea to alleviate the current economic hardship irrespective of the challenges being faced in the country as protest or demonstrations will not bring a lasting solutions, reports ITREALMS.

This charge was made by the Emir of Borgu, Niger State, Alhaji Muhammed Haliru Dantoro during his opening speech at the maiden edition of Lagos Motor Show (LMS) held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.

He also applauded the debut of the Lagos Motor Show (LMS).

He also called on Nigerians to eschew all bitterness and make the country great again, stressing that the greatness Nigerians want cannot be left in the hands of the government alone.

The royal father enjoined the people to continue to pray for the leaders, as he called on the government not to see traditional leaders as a tool only for electioneering process but a representative of the people which requires harmonious relationship.

"Traditional leaders should be recognized during and after elections" Emir declared.

He expressed delight on the concept by the organisers of the Lagos Motor Show to replicate this kind of show seen largely in developed countries, pointing out that act, will bring more development.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chairman, Organising Committee of the Lagos Motor Show (LMS), Engr. Gbenga Adebayo appreciated the royal father, dignitaries, exhibitors, and sponsors for making the show a success.

Adebayo also said the Lagos Motor Show has taken a giant stride by bringing back the memory lane, some collection of classic and vintage cars before independence and the latest electric cars.

ITREALMS gathered that the maiden edition of Lagos Motor Show was a display of various models that depict ancient and modern with a space for the vehicles of the future.
