APRA stands with Kenyans over crisis, condoles families - ITREALMS

The Executive Council and members of the
African Public Relations Association (APRA) has condoled with all Kenyans in general, over the recent crisis that happened in the country, which led to some deaths, reports ITREALMS.

This was contained in a press statement available to ITREALMS from the secretariat of APRA and endorsed by the Secretary-General, Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, declaring that they also are in solidarity with the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).

"We stand in solidarity with our colleagues in the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK)," he said.

Additionally, APRA urged the Government of Kenya to put the people first and in a show of conversational capacity as already indicated by the Presidency, by undertaking stakeholder consultations with empathy and an openness to reconciliation.

"We commiserate with the families of those who died and wish a speedy recovery to those injured during the protests," he said, as the group prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.

ITREALMS recalled that one of the objectives of APRA includes to promote African unity and cooperation, particularly as a consulting body to the African Union and its various agencies.
