A Tweep is a person who uses the Twitter online message service to send and receive tweets.

Some media outlets had on Saturday quoted Senator Akume as saying “MINIMUM WAGE: I can’t pay my four drivers N100,000 per month – SGF Akume.”

Reacting to this Akume assertion, Barr. Malcolm Omirhobo through his X handle @MalcolmInfiniti took Akume to task, wondering what he is doing with some four drivers.

He also reminded him that his counterparts in other sane clime drive themselves if at all they want to move in a motor vehicle, stressing that they do this being mindful of the cost of governance.

“… But just look at you, wasting public funds and rubbing it in their face.” he berated Akume

Also reacting, another Dennis Akpomedaye X-user with the handle @DennisAkpo53901 alleged that Nigerian big men always exploit their workers, alleging that this is one of the reasons the youths are escaping from Nigeria.

“They believe that the poor man is not meant to live a decent life,” he lamented.

Equally speaking, Jasper Ume @UmeJasper mocked Akume saying that “They have many drivers to their fleets some go errands of buying goats 🐐 cows 🐄 while some drive madam to market some drive children to while drive others for shopping. Some of these politicians have no shame in their life very greedy self centered mono-centric.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has called on Akume to withdraw that public statement as its treasonable.
