Leading the team, the state coordinator on TB network, Mrs Ifelunwa Aipoh restated the team's commitment in ensuring adequate medical treatment for the community dwellers in the various parts of the state.

She also outlined some identified issues in Ikosi-Isheri Primary Health Centre as unavailability of HIV test kit, no malaria rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), inadequate thermometer, shortage of weighing scale, shortage of chairs and inadequate standing fan at the facilities.

In his response, the Medical Officer of Health (MoH) Ikosi-Isheri PHC, Dr. Okunade appreciated the group's visit, assuring them of good health delivery to the community.

Dr. Okunade,
who assumed office two months ago, noted that the ongoing construction of PHC which is almost at completion stage made it seem that the facility lack such equipment due to the temporary makeshift used pending the completion of the main building by October this year.

"By October, the PHC will be set as all necessary kits will be readily available, the temporary makeshift could not accommodate all the equipment because of space," he assured.

Also speaking, the State Project Officer (SPO) of SAT, Mr. Taiwo Adakan, enjoined the MoH to intimate the health personnel in reporting the gender based violence incident by the victim, while on treatment at the clinic for a proactive action on the case by the team.

Other members of the SAT on the visit included the Programme officer for JAKIN Initiative, Mrs Bola Tito Opaleye; State Coordinator, Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN), Mr. Patrick Akpan represented by Mrs Blessing Obiuweobi among others.
