AASDU unveils 2025 Igbo calendar, website – ITREALMS

The Association of Anambra State Development Unions (AASDU) has unveiled its 2025 calendar with special Igbo features and website, [https://aasdulagos.org.ng/] reports ITREALMS.

President of AASDU, Chief Sir Amechi Ebeledike said at the Sickle Cell Centre hall, Idi-Araba, Lagos on Sunday, that the AASDU calendar is first of its kind from AASDU Lagos and embodies a number of tourism and fascinating features in Anambra State, which could be optimised for revenue generation for the Light of the Nation state.

He also commended those who patronised the AASDU calendar with advertorials, which provided subsidy for the production, including GUO Transport Company, Climax Lubricants Industries Limited, Rockview Hotels, Kojo Motors, Greenlife Pharmaceuticals Limited, Christopher University, Mowe-Ogun State, Niger Power Bricks Industries, Elbe Pharms with Amatem softgel and Daravit campaigns, Chisco Transport, Suncity Asaba powered by P48 Investment Limited.

In his presentation of the calendar, the Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chidi Abajue said it was proudly produced to promote Ndi Anambra and encourage the Akuluno mantra of the current government of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, who was represented at the occasion by the Lagos Liaison Officer, Chief Leo Egboka in the company of the President, Anambra State Women Association Lagos (ASWAL), Mrs. Rita Okoli.

Abajue underscored some of the calendar highlights to include having the Igbo market days, namely Afo, Nkwo, Eke and Oye, listing of member town unions in local government areas with selected sponsored town profiles.

According to him, some of the towns that used the opportunity to showcase their profiles include Awgbu, Onitsha, Umunze, Agulu, Mbaukwu, Amaokpala, Uga, Igbo-Ukwu, Enugwu-Ukwu, Aguleri, and Omor.


Equally, Abajue revealed that AASDU Lagos now has website, https://aasdulagos.org.ng/ where ndi Anambra could access relevant information concerning the state and the organisation.

The website has several navigations comprising the home, about us, membership, event gallery and contact us to name a few.


He enjoined over 170 towns in Anambra State to ensure they have copies of the calendar and visit the new website, because both are educationally inclined.


The chief promoter of the calendar and chief executive of P48 Investment Limited, Dr. Kingsley Obiekwe applauded AASDU leadership under Sir Ebeledike and unveiled it with .5m among others.

The unveiling coincided with the annual expanded general meeting of all the town unions’ chairmen and secretaries alongside the AASDU representatives.
