When there is fire in the room and you cannot quench it, it is wise to leave the room.
Deactivating your Facebook account by Brenda Zulu - ITREALMS
If as a Facebook (FB) account holder something happens to you that brings you in the lime light of everyone and you cannot handle it, the best is to leave FB for a while.

So you simply deactivate your account. Deactivating your account does not fully delete it. When you deactivate your account, Facebook saves all of your settings, photos, and information in case you decide to reactivate your account. Your information isn't gone—it's just hidden.

Deactivating your a Facebook account is a personal choice. When the fire is finally quenched you can simply activate your account by simply logging in your details.

I have observed that on Social Media we have given away so much about ourselves. We have given away whats on our mind and social media in this case acts like a double edged sword. When you look at stories of murder cases in Zambia, people will always get pictures from ones social media account and splash them online to show who has been killed and who the murder is.

On stories of appointments and disappointments, people will dig pictures of the people involved from their social media accounts and share.

On stories of theft, people will share pictures of the thief from their social media accounts. Even people who have undergone bullying feel uncomfortable to be on Facebook after a terrible experience and simply leave the platform for a while.

Some people also deactivate their accounts because they would like to cyber detox ....Sometimes online platforms become very toxic to read.

Deactivating a Facebook account is a personal choice just like opening it.
