Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has slashed the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), or petrol, for the second time this month. It has cut N65 off the previous price of N890, bringing it down to N825 per litre at the gantry (ex-depot). This follows a N60 reduction on February 1.

The ex-depot price has thus decreased from N950 per litre in January to the current price of N825 per litre, representing a reduction of N125 per litre within 26 days.

Digital Insights gathered that according to the late General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in one of his Tv interviews, archived by IgboHistofacts, said there is no way the January 15, 1966 could have been an Igbo coup, because those who stopped the coup were largely Igbos; Himself (Chukwuemeka Ojukwu) as Battalion commander in Kano, an Igbo, and Aguyi Ironsi in Lagos, an Igbo. Unfortunately Ironsi was killed in the counter coup of July 29, 1966 purportedly led by General Yakubu Gowon.

Further, military sources and General Ojukwu also confirmed that the January 15, 1966 coup agenda was to release a Yoruba man and sectional political leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo from Calabar prison and make him interim Prime Minister to help them organise an election afterwards, which gives credence that January 15, 1966 was never an “Igbo coup.”

I arrived in Abuja with my friend Jeff Okoli at about 8 p.m. on the last night of NYSC registration. We arrived at Kubwa camp for registration barely two hours before closing time. A 23-year-old male, Solomon Fabiyi, has been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command for attempted money ritual with his seven-year old nephew, Jomiloju, reports ITREALMS.

The ugly narrative of Road Traffic crashes in the early 70s changed through Federal Government’s resilience in the establishment of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in 1988, as the Lead Agency in road safety administration and traffic management in Nigeria via decree no 45 of 1988 as amended by decree no 35 of 1992, later codified as FRSC Act (CAP 141) Laws of the Federation 1990 and FRSC Act CAP F19, LFN, 2004; FRSC (Establishment) Act, 2007.

Being a strategic intervention to address the ugly trend of road crashes, the Federal Road Safety Corps has, since its establishment operated in line with best global practices. The organisation was specifically established and empowered by legislation to coordinate road safety administration and traffic management in Nigeria with an ultimate aim of halting the trend of road traffic crashes and fatalities on all roads (204,000km) in the country, and its Laws and Regulations can be exercised in any part of the country.

The Anambra State government led by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has refuted fake news making a round on alleged arrest of half-naked women in the state, reports ITREALMS.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Aburime, in a press statement available to ITREALMS, described the news as malicious and entirely falsehood on social media, which claimed that “Anambra State Government begins arrest of girls who walk around without bras and pants before they start walking naked.”
