In a world where approximately 20% of new businesses fail within the first two years, 45% within five years, 65% within ten years, and only 25% make it to 15 years or more (according to the US Bureau of Statistics), any business that has crossed 15 years should be sharing insights on survival and success.

But what about businesses that have lasted twice that long? Or a financial services group that has thrived for over 130 years, especially in Africa, where business survival rates are likely lower than those statistics from the Global North? Nigeria's 1966 Coup: Debunking the Igbo coup narrative - Digital Insights Podcast @ITREALMS
Digital Insights gathered that according to the late General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in one of his Tv interviews, archived by IgboHistofacts, said there is no way the January 15, 1966 could have been an Igbo coup, because those who stopped the coup were largely Igbos; Himself (Chukwuemeka Ojukwu) as Battalion commander in Kano, an Igbo, and Aguyi Ironsi in Lagos, an Igbo. Unfortunately Ironsi was killed in the counter coup of July 29, 1966 purportedly led by General Yakubu Gowon.
Further, military sources and General Ojukwu also confirmed that the January 15, 1966 coup agenda was to release a Yoruba man and sectional political leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo from Calabar prison and make him interim Prime Minister to help them organise an election afterwards, which gives credence that January 15, 1966 was never an “Igbo coup.”

At the end of the war, the Igbo business elite who had been in PH, and whose property had been forcibly acquired by the new government in Rivers state went to Asika to intervene. Asika sat with them and urged them to seek the intervention of the courts and make this a seminal case on the defense of Igbo property rights in Nigeria.

I looked around the NYSC camp and decided there was no going back. This was my dream, and I had made it this far.
I arrived in Abuja, my dream NYSC location (I was posted to Abuja without any man know man) full of hope. My hope was to be a public servant, and my ambition was to retire as a Permanent Secretary. Fueled by this ambition, I started inquiring about how to join the public service. I learnt that Gen Abacha, then Head of State, had placed an embargo on employment. Undeterred, I made further enquiries and learnt of a small window; the NYSC Award led to automatic employment.
